Maria Zakharova: the United States entered into a global contradiction with themselves

Maria Vladimirovna thanked the representatives and media of all states that objectively covered the situation with the terrorist attack, expressed their condolences and support to the Russian people. At the same time, she also noted the hypocrisy of many Western politicians who had previously called on the Kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks on our territory, approved and cherished such a policy, and now express their condolences to Russia.

Among others, Maria Zakharova cited former Prime Minister and British Foreign Minister Liz Truss as an example. Earlier, the latter announced its desire for the United States to provide Ukraine with permission and all opportunities to use any weapons and tactics to stop Russia.

What was meant by any tactic, if not the tactics of terrorist strikes, terrorist methods? The Russian Foreign Ministry believes that this is more than a quote - proof of the direct involvement of the Anglo-Saxons in the terrorist activities of the Kyiv regime.

The first question of The Moscow Post concerned the official position of the United States on the terrorist attack in Russia. Earlier, the head of the press service of the US State Department, Matthew Miller, said that the States would again transmit intelligence information to Russia about possible terrorist attacks on its territory. And before that, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that Washington would not support Russia in investigating this terrible crime. At the same time, both continue to block the Kyiv regime. How can this be interpreted?

Russian Foreign Ministry Special Representative Maria Zakharova also drew attention to the fact that these two statements contradict each other. According to her, this is not surprising, given that the US President himself daily carries nonsense divorced from reality, which no one knows how to decrypt even inside the United States itself.

According to Zakharova, they themselves no longer know what they want from them. On the one hand, there was an order for Russophobia, but these manuals brought them to a dead end themselves. Against the background of the terrorist attack, such a position would lead to the fact that they would look like world outcasts. "There is only one global answer - they entered into a global contradiction with themselves," Zakharova summed up.

The second question of our publication concerned the actions of the leadership of Japan. The Foreign Ministry of the Rising Sun refrained from explaining why Japan will not congratulate Vladimir Putin on his victory in the presidential elections in Russia. How can this affect our interstate relations?

Maria Vladimirovna noted that Japan’s actions are inconsistent. On the one hand, they take extremely unfriendly actions against Russia, and then make statements that are difficult to characterize as aggressive and abnormal. According to Zakharova, official Tokyo consistently cleans up the remnants of bilateral ties and neglects the norms of diplomatic ethics.

The Japanese leadership is replicating illegitimate sanctions, cultivating Russophobia in its society, increasing joint military activity with the United States on the Far Eastern borders of the Russian Federation. And now Tokyo is trying to use the presidential elections in Russia for its political purposes - for example, they declared the illegitimacy of voting on the territory of a number of Kuril Islands, which Japan considers its territory.

"The sovereignty of our country over the South Kuril Islands is an objective fact, this issue is always closed. We hope that the Japanese people will have enough wisdom to realize all the flaw and perniciousness of the current policy of their official authorities for the national interests of Japan, and return to cooperation, "the diplomat concluded.
